    Found Silver Today - 1900 Barber Dime

    One of my best finds to date - 1900 Barber Dime. Found it by river that runs through our town about 2 inches down. I've found a 1945 Mercury Dime before but this one is my oldest find and it cleaned up nicely.

    GTAx 550 vs ACE 250

    Is there anyone here who has used both extensively? Which would you recommend for a jewelry hunter? I know the GTa550 is marketed as a mid-level detector but it's being phased out. Is the circuitry better than the ACE 250?

    24 notch vs. 12 notch discrimination

    I just realized what made the GTAx series such good detectors. It was having more discrimination settings. This allowed more specific "junk" to be tuned out while still allowing gold to come in. This is why with todays detectors you must dig everything in pulltab range to have a shot at gold...

How bout pull tabs? The accuracy or ability to better determine targets using this scale is what is going to sway...

    AT Pro - Estimated ship date

    While I was on the phone with KellyCo I asked about an estimated ship date and they said they expect to receive the AT Pro at the very end of November and hope to ship at the end of the first week of Dec. Salesrep said not to expect in on your doorsteps until mid December.

    Sold my GTA 400

    GTI 2500 Discrmination Modes

    Hello all, I've had this detector for a couple weeks now and I'm getting the hours put in. I've been working in custom mode but I've noticed that I've basically reduced the discrimination down to dimes and above. Everything else has been eliminated. I cant' help but think I'm missing rings...
