Looks like I've come full circle

Been detecting for just a little over 10 years now. My first "real" detector, the one I found my first silver coin with and my first relics with was an Eldorado umax. I sold it to buy a Minelab Excalibur when I learned the Navy was going to send me to Puerto Rico. I still use the Excalibur...

Day #2. More bullets, buttons, and silver.

This is a combined photo of today's and yesterday's finds. Found the Roosie, key, 4 buttons, and the flattened Gardner yesterday. Got the quarter, Merc, 2 Minies, 2 more Gardners, and what I believe are pistol bullets today. Any ideas on if that's what they are or the age of the buttons...

    Yellow Excalibur headphone modification

I've got the female and male components of an Ikelite plug so I can modify my Excalibur headphone set-up. Putting the female plug on the detector seems pretty easy. Just cut the black and red wires with the little white plug that connects to the main board and then solder the corresponding...

Ikelite headphone adapter for my Excalibur

Does anyone know how to connect a female Ikelite adapter to an Excalibur for after market headphones? I also need to know where I can get a female adapter from. Thanks, Doc

    Back after a long absence

I used to make regular posts on here but Uncle Sam kept sending me halfway around the globe. I'm a regular on another site under the name USN Doc. Just got back home to Camp Lejeune a week ago. My Excalibur was getting overhauled while I was gone and I got it back in the mail yesterday...
