    Last 2 hunts :detecting:

Last weekend was my first time out with the F-70, and was also the first relic hunt of the year. Managed some battlefield bullets, and a 1828 LC :bouncy: [attachment 109334 DSCF2574.JPG] [attachment 109335 DSCF2576.JPG] Hooked up with a friend of mine who has permission to hunt a 1740's Mill...

    Yesterday's short hunt

A buddy of mine got me permission to hunt a new spot. I met up with the manager at 10AM yesterday, and verified that I had permission. Only stipulation was that I could not interfere with any swimmers. I suited up, and headed to the beach. Unfortunately, this was a small swim area, and 5 bus...

    Yesterday's early hunt :minelab:

JoeinMd and I headed out early yesterday AM. This beach was extremely quiet. Did manage a 10K pendant. Since I used a waterproofed sovereign before getting the excal, I didn't even think of checking the hole in All Metal for the chain  No more screen pictures for a while, my camera...

My hunt with Joe in MD yesterday :minelab:

Joe picked me up at 6AM, and 80 miles later we arrived at "Mercury Dime" beach  All I can say is, Joe was on fire! Not many swimmers this year at this particular beach, but there is plenty of leftovers from years gone by. I just couldn't get my coil over any old stuff. Did manage a 46...

First time out with Explorer SE :twodetecting:

Finally upgraded from a Sovereign GT to an Explorer SE. At first, I was a little intimidated after reading the good and the bad about the detector. After today's short hunt, all of my worries have been put to rest :clapping: I normally hunt for Colonial and Civil War relics, but I decided to...

Yesterday's hunt with Joe in MD :minelab:

After 4 years of hunting with a waterproofed Sovereign, I decided to retire that rig and give the Excalibur a shot. Got with Joe, and we went to an active beach on the Chesapeake, with an abandoned beach right next to it. I spent more time trying to get used to the lower tone setup on the Excal...

:minelab: Yesterday's blowout tide finds :twodetecting:

After work, I went back to the spot where I found 3 gold Saturday. The tide was 2' lower than normal, letting me get to an area I couldn't access. Managed a 14K band, and 10K ID bracelet. [attachment 54295 DSCF2037.jpg] [attachment 54296 DSCF2038.jpg] [attachment 54297 DSCF2040.jpg] hh...Mike

    Storm's a coming :twodetecting:

Me and my buddy hit one of the local swimming holes on the upper Chesapeake Bay. Little did we know that this storm coming in would pull the tide out farther than normal. Managed 2 14K, one with a small diamond and a 10K in water that would have been 7' deep at low tide  [attachment...

The Bay finally gave up the gold!!!

Been a real slow year so far as far as gold goes in the Chesapeake Bay, but that all changed today :detecting: First 2 targets of the day. Both were in the same hole. [attachment 35420 Resized3.jpg] Closeup of the engagement ring. All diamonds checked out good :bouncy: [attachment 35421...
