    rookie looking for a starter kit

    i am looking to get a metal detector, i don't know anyone who knows anything about metal detectors. so my question is, what should i buy? info on me, i am not worried about price although i would like to spend under $400 if i can get a quality buy for that. never even used a metal detector...
