    Having a problem with my Gamma, need input please.

    I've been using all summer. Now all at once with a new battery it goes crazy and everything lights up and beaps. With mostly dead battery it seems to be fine and we found out with head phones it is fine as well. Using alkaline batteries just like we have all summer. Hasn't been in real hot...

    My first silver find with my Gamma was a great one!

    This is my first summer detecting and found my first silver after many days of hunting. It turned out to be a Standing Liberty silver quarter. Date was worn completely off but we were able to determine it is a 1917 Type 1. I was and still am crazy excited!

    Found Gold for first time with Gamma 6000!

    I never thought I'd find a gold ring, but in my first season metal detecting I uncovered one about six inches under. It is a big 14K gold mens wedding ring.     Should I invest in a bigger coil for Gamma 6000?

    Sounds like everyone differs on this topic. I want the best depth and separation. Only using the Gamma a few times, we have unearthed a bunch of pennies, several dimes and a quarter. Some were around 8" or so. Not sure if it'd be worth investing in a bigger coil or not. We will be hunting...

    New to Metal Detecting, any tips on where to hunt in Iowa?

    I've taken my Gamma 6000 out a couple of times for a few hours so far. We have found a dozen or so wheat pennies and other clad coins. I live in Cedar Rapids, IA. Does anyone have any tips on where there would be good hunting in this area? Does anyone have luck in farm fields? Thanks so much!

    Gamma 6000 Tips?

    So far my wife and I love our Gamma 6000. It is our first metal detector that we have owned. Is it necessary to invest in the 5DD coil for heavy trash areas? Also, I've heard it is necessary to have volume on max to hear all signals? Otherwise any tips would be appreciated. We are beginners but...
