    Using Earth Magnets.

    A friend of mine uses earth magnets while swinging, instead of a pinpointer. Can the use earth magnets cause any type of distortion and/or interference with the md? I'm sure the magnet is a lot cheaper. But if it causes you to lose paydirt.............
