    How about some portraits?

My beautiful wife of ten years carrying our first child. Found an old building in an adjacent town and spent the better part of a day shooting. [attachment 26268 steph.jpg] [attachment 26270 us.jpg] [attachment 26269 ring.jpg]

    Depth of field.

Well, I got my super duper macro setup together today (70-300 reverse mounted to a 50mm) and tried it out a bit. Tripod is definitely a must as any movement, no matter how minimal, can take it way out of focus and sometimes out of the frame completely. Original shot with no cropping or any PS...

Hey Rick, Nim or anyone who might know some lens tricks.

I'm trying to reverse mount a 50mm lens to a 70-300 for some macro shots. Looks like in order to do this correctly I'm going to have to manually go wide open on the aperture on the 50mm. Is there something (equipment) I should use that is dedicated to doing this or can I just try to stick a...

    Behind the Shed

Been trying my hand at grungier, darker stuff and this came out pretty close to what I imagined. I'm sure many people won't like it but I'm really getting into it. Not your everyday happy go lucky shot and processing is it? :D <img src="http://attorneysnurse.com/images/fmall.jpg">

Couple more birds and a lens question.

Shot these two today fell zoom with a Tamron 70-300. Am looking for a longer lens and while I'd like to have the Bigma, I don't wanna pay for that right now. Has anyone used the Sigma 170-500 lens? I can pick one up for around 300 bucks and from what I've read it's a pretty decent lens. Any...

Tried some more artsy farsty with Photoshop.

Got about 100 shots today and didn't even like one of them. Thought it would be a good opportunity to try some grungy Photoshop. Took me about an hour to get it the way I wanted. Does it suck? :D [attachment 14060 1111111111.jpg]

Anybody ever seen this guy's work.

Some may not like it but I think it's unreal. If you've heard of the draganizer Photoshop action or the dragan effect, this is who it's named after. http://andrzejdragan.com/ [attachment 14054 foto44.jpg] [attachment 14055 foto56.jpg]

    Frightened Mother to Be

My wife carrying our first child. It's an exciting but scary time for us and I tried to capture some of the emotions she's feeling right now. Total snapshot. She wasn't expecting to have her picture taken but I couldn't pass it up. Thanks for looking! Crop Virtual Photographer "Character" B&W...

Can someone help me understand this?

In the photo below (awesome by the way) the photographer says that he used a 2 1/2 minute shutter speed with the Nikon D70s before sunrise. Isn't the longest shutter speed possible with the D70s 30 seconds or did he just bracket these shots with different shutter speeds and is calling the...
