    First impression of the Ultra.

    Capable detector. Nice air depth on dimes. Screen icons way too small. Haven't tried the wireless headphones yet. I loved my MX Sport. Big screen. Loved rusty bottle caps though.

    Convince me TO NOT get a Legend.

    I have the option of buying a nice Simplex+ dirt cheap or buying a Legend with 2 coils and wireless headphones. How much better is the Legend for general detecting for an experienced detectorist?

    I'm off to Virginia in the morning for 3 days of relic hunting!

    Someone told me that all I have to do to find relics up there is to dig and the relics will pop out like there's no tomorrow.. :lol: I want to thank Robert from the Shadow forum who will be taking me hunting. This will be a thrill! First time up there. Take care everyone!!

    Here's a CZ technique which will get you more of the deep ones....especially Nickels and relics.

    Finally got a chance to see a T2 up close and personal...

    Visited the big 'K' here in Florida and had the salesperson point me to the new Teknetiks. Wow. I never thought it balanced so well. Loved the feel and the hand grip. That's a huge plus for me. Now I need to go find someone who has one so i can try it out....
