World War 1 Delaware Service Medal

Only posted a few times on this forum but i'd like to share a find made in my backyard today. Was using an Explorer 2 with the Se Pro coil on it's first trial hunt and it's the first target i dug using this coil. The target was at 10"+ and gave a variable audio response and was using ferrous...

    Just bought an Explorer XS

and been wanting to try the Explorer for a while. Have a Sov GT,and Advantage, tried the X-Terra 50 and was considering the X-Terra 70 or wait for one of the Fisher F70 or F5 and jumped on the Explorer XS to blow my spending budget for this year (maybe) as i'm gonna need a SunRay 8" and...

    Well the lowly F2 !!

Found me some silver today.I'm very impressed with the F2 at trashy sites and snagged 10 wheat pennies in just a few hunts at heavily hunted trash infested sites.Decided to try my luck woods hunting a bit before work at 4PM and got called in early after 15 minutes of hunting. Started working my...

    Day Two with the F2

Another day, another park, another lesson learned. Today i hunted a site with less iron infestation but definately has it's share and due to the size of this park there were areas with less modern trash and was able to open up the sensitivity for the chance at some deeper targets as long as i...

First outing with the F2 !!

Used the F2 this morning with the 4"coil at an iron infested older site with lots of modern trash that initially produced many false hightones with sensitivity set above 2 bars, the F2 actually worked better with 1 bar at this site. Modern twist off bottlecaps hit hard about 4" deep and dug a cap...

Hi folks, A little introduction, i'm from Delaware and primarily hunt older but very trashy sites that require quick recovery speed along with small coils in hopes of picking a few masked goodies and the Golden seems to have the response time i'm looking for. Many of the good targets are within...

6000 di pro sl instability issues

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered stabilty problems using the 6000, xl pro etc. I hunt many sites with high mineralization, lots of iron, and electrical interference and so on. I have found many areas that i just cannot stabilize threshold and eliminate false signals from both audio...

Had X Terra 50 out for about an hr today without reading the manual thoroughly.

Just got it thursday and put it together last night and went on short hunt this afternoon.Just tried using pattern 1 and AM with no discrimination adjustments. GB was easy to do and very happy with weight and balance except i had to use the shortest rod adjustment to feel comfortable swinging...

Got a Sov.GT about a month ago and at first i wasn't sure but i'm really beginning to like the beast.

I'M impressed with depth and seem to more easily hit deeper targets that i couldn't hit very well at difficult sites with iron and hotrocks and other crappy ground. I have a question about the Digisearch Meter. According to the manual your supposed to adjust a quarter to hit on 170 but i...

I love my dynamic duo, the XLT and Modified IDX Pro

Had a 4 hr hunt at a site today plagued with hotrocks, iron, copper shards, pulltabs, and canslaw, LOL. First used the XLT and had almost constant iron smear and- or +95 readings so i knocked out +95 and proceeded to find a 56 Washington quarter in very nice shape and 3 wheaties still soaking...

Just got my IDX Pro back from Mr Bill,

and all i can say is what a professional job he does and oh what a difference being able to lower threshold volume and add GB to an already fine detector. And thanks for the Goldfoot coil Mr Bill,i just can't wait to give it a run at the trashy parks when we get some rain and the ground softens...
