    Some Sunday Fun

Today I went back to the park Oldranger and myself hunted yesterday. Rather than hitting the playground area I circled some trees. I came up with a dime and then moved on to two other kiddy parks. They need to change the name of this thing to the Ace $.01. I found 8 pennies within an hour...

    Ace 250 pin point question

I'm having an issue when I use the pin pointing of the Ace 250 with the original coil. (the 6.5 x 9 I believe.) I'm used to the exact center of the coil being where to dig which I feel is right where the shaft connects to the coil. However I'm usually ending up finding my coin in other spots...

    Neat 4th of July Find!!!

I was at my in-laws yesterday, with my new Ace 250 of course, and I found this really neat find. From my research it appears to be a Boy Scouts of America Good Turn Coin. It was coming up as a dime/penny about 8 inches down. It was nearly that far down, but much bigger and not a dime or...

    Recent Treasure Hunts

Well last night, after buying a new digger, I managed to find 3 cents! One was at a local kiddy park (however I only had about 20 minutes there because I had to get home for dinner.) The other two were in my back yard again. The digger I got at Lowes and it has a serrated edge (great for...

    First Finds!!!!!:beers:

Well today was the day! The man in brown (UPS) brought me my new Ace250!!! My first ever :Garrett:. So when I got home, just like a little kid on Christmas, I took my new toy out of the box and assembled it. Because I was like a little kid at Christmas, I had already memorized the owners...

    Jack McDevitt Books--for rainy days!

If you find yourself unable to treasure hunt I have read two books by Jack McDevitt that are about "Relic" hunting in the future. They are pretty cool with a good suspense to them. If you like sci fi and think it's funny that our drinking glasses would be highly valued 2000 years from...

    This is the week!!!:beers:

Well I've waited about a month and now it's time...I'm going to buy my first Ace250!! I put in a big on ebay for a gently used one (that comes with all 3 coils!!!!) If I don't win that (goes off tomorrow) I'll be buying a new one from Kellyco! So I hope by next weekend I can be pulling out...

    Fun Polling Question....

I see a lot of great clad coin finds (which obviously I know how most people will use them....;).) what about rings and silver charms etc.? Do most of you keep them or do you sell them?

Semi Detector related but I just need to vent!:veryangry:

Okay, so to help pay for my new Ace 250 I've decided to sell off some of my old coins that I had found as metal detecting as a child. I figured I would put them up on e-bay and was selling my mercury dimes very well. Today was the first feedback I ever got for a sale because it's now been long...

Benefits of an Ace 250 over the GTI 1500?

I've been reading a lot of good things about the Ace250 on here! Seems like you guys really like it. Originally I was intending on buying the GTI1500, but am wondering (if you read my other post) as a "re-starter" if I should just get the Ace250 to get myself out on the field quicker? I see...

    GTI 1350, 1500, or 2500!?

Hey Guys and Gals, I just joined the forum and I have a request for some personal feedback regarding the Garrett GTI series. I'm looking into purchasing my first machine in nearly 15 years, about the last time I actively metal detected and purchased a machine. I grew up in a rural area where...
