    Stuck on Overload

No coil cover. I did disconnect the coil and the overload goes away....sounds like the issue is with the coil. I probably would not have discovered this on my own. Thank you all! ps...when you say contacting whites, do you mean their Customer Service Dept.?

    Stuck on Overload

Took off work early today to get out with the V3i. Found a nice spot and when I powered it up, the machine is "Stuck on Overload" ...it won't do anything but gowl (loudly) at me. Pulling trigger, changing modes, nothing changes the overload sound. The screen even says overload. Anyone ever...

It looks suspiciously like copper, and I wondered if copper was commonly used for rings in the past. In googling it, I learned that "Rose Gold" was once common and is apparently...

    Yellow Flag Conditions

Spending a week in Destin and will have a great vacation regardless of MD conditions. The coast continues to have yellow flag conditions and I had really hoped to spend a lot of time in the water as I brought my brand new Excal II. Is this a case of just recognizing when the water is too rough...

    Two firsts for me today!

I realize this may be old hat for some of you but today I found my first silver! A 1944 quarter. Also, I found a 1952 "Pice", a coin from Pakistan. I apologize for the quality of the photo...if you are able to zoom in you can see the coin better. When I dug it I thought it was just a washer...

    Tot Lots/One Question

Still very new to the hobby and my V3i, but love them both. I have not strayed from the factory settings as of yet, even to adjust the rx, etc. My question is, when in a tot lot, whether sand or wood chips, the playground equipment it self obviously plays a role....they are set in the ground...

    Newbie Scores Big Points

[/b[b]]Have only been MDing for about 6 weeks. On my way home from supper and a young guy from work texts me asking to borrow my MD. I replied "call me"...he does and I say what did ya lose? He is newly married and his wife lost her wedding ring in the playground pea gravel at the child care...

    Ball Fields

On baseball/softball fields, they are part dirt and part grass. Would you more likely run across finds in the grassy areas or is it just random?
