    yes it does make a great centerpiece. I think I have found a couple of those 'gold shell' stamped ring. From the depth it has to have some age to it. Yes, the cold wind was brutal.

    thanks Donna, yes I was very lucky I didnt hit that morgan with it being on edge. a $10 gold piece is something I cant even imagine pulling out of the hole. I have gotten a fair amount of gold rings but no gold coins.
