    xp deus 2 13" coil battery life?

    I swung the 13" coil for 5 hours today. Still better than half charged. You may be right about not getting a good charge, that has happened to me. I didn't put the clip on well enough and it lost contact after a little while.

    Ah yes, one of life's great mysteries. Will XP listen to the masses and come out with a small coil. Apparently this is highly sensitive information and we may not know the answer in our lifetimes......if ever.

    XP Deus Backpack

    I have both. I use the 280 in the winter when I have to pack more gear with me out into the woods. The 240 is geat in the warmer weather when I don't have to bring extra clothes etc. Both are excellent packs.

    Full Tones offset …. Wow !!

    I agree Tony. FT offset is another useful D2 setting that can help put finds in your pouch. I do use it in a couple of programs.

    Good work there Gaz. I have mild soils here in the US and I can hit targets at the depths you mention when the conditions are right. The keys are as you point out is using max Sensitivity, and very low Reactivity. Using IAR of 3 like you do in Relic (or Goldfield) is good because it won't...

    That is an excellent coil. The coverage is great of course, but it is surprisingly good in the iron too.

    Well said IDX. Most of my detecting energy goes into figuring out how to best deal with iron falsing. The D2 has some nice work arounds but they are far from ideal.

    I have them all. Generally speaking, the 9" coil is better at unmasking. There are situations where the 11" could be better but overall, the 9" is better in my opinion....especially in the heavy iron and trash. I can also say that the 11 X 13 is great at unmasking and will out perform the 9" at...

    Relic mode users

    Gaz I used Relic quite a bit with the D1 but really haven't tried it with the D2. I agree with Abcoin, those bent nails are a pain even with IAR cranked up. But those crusty colonial era bent nails are a challenge for any program.

    Thanks for sharing that tip on hunting in the big iron. If you don't ever get fooled on round iron or a bolt, you are bound to leaving some good nonferrous targets in the ground.

    Sorry to hear about your bad experiences. The update went smooth for me and so far I've been pleased with the V1.0 enhancements and performance, but I know that hasn't been everyone's experience. I found that it is definitely NOT like running V7.1 and I've had to adjust my programs accordingly.

    Mi-6 Delay on D2

    I think Rogue may be on to something. I'm usually out detecting in the middle of the woods and there is almost no lag. 1 second tops. Find a "quiet" place and see if that makes a difference.
