    Saxon brooch

    Last weekend I went out to one of my permissions. A few 18 and 17 century copper coins and a couple of musket balls and buttons, nothing spectacular so far. Until I saw this beauty. An early medieval disc brooch (fibula), dated from around the 9Th to 11Th century A.D. Happy with it!
