    JCR, What I am referring to is the way the X behaves when the disc is turned up. At disc = 25, a good signal on a nickel can be heard at a greater depth than at Disc = 32 or 33. Try an air test sometime.

    Good point JCR. There is also the risk of deeper nickels reading in the iron range, but for this site it is worth the risk to me.

    I too would like to know the answer to momule's question. A coin next to a nail gives a one-way signal as does a nail false, at least on the X. Are there subtle differences that allow the skilled user to tell the difference on the Deeptech machines or are we limited to two way signals only?
