    AT Gold is a Keeper!

Went down south to detect with Sonny Brown and did well with the AT Gold! If you have been on the fence to get one of these detectors, its a keeper for me! With 2 days of tekin I think the only coins I didn't find were a silver dollar and older nickels. I also found over $10 in new coinage...

    AT Pro Make Over

I hate the small upper rod on the AT and I hate that Garrett doesn't use camlocks. So, decided to make a new rod out of a Prizm 6 rod. Also cut the headphone and installed my own jack as I love my Killer B Wasp  and installed an Anderson stand.

    New SEF 6x8 Very impressive!

Got my new SEF 6x8 coil yesterday and put it to the test right away. My buddy and I hit a Boy Scout camp which shutdown in 1968 and is now private property which his buddy owns. We hit it for 3 hours and the Etrac with the small sef pulled out 15 wheats, 2 mercs, 1 rosie, 1 quarter, 2...

Test run on the 12x15 SEF Coil

The new 12x15 SEF coil was a little scary when I first opened the box and saw how big it looked! After mounting this monster on a rod and putting it on the Explorer 2, it wasn't that bad. Don

    New 10x14 Excelerator

I was able to get out again with the New Excelerator EQ2 10x14 DD coil and was impressed for the 2nd time. My wife Lisa and I headed to what use to be a train station from 1848-1976. Unfortunately I didn't find any old silver but did find an old brass train knife. I was using my DFX with my...

    New 10x14 Excelerator Coil

The new 10x14 Excelerator coil impressed me for the first time out. The weather yesterday was nice with a temperature of 68 degrees and I was finally able to get out with this new coil. I thought spring had arrived until I woke up this morning with a temperature of 29 and 2 inches of snow on...

First Silver in O7 with a new 6 inch Excelerator

I got out today in the 26 degree temps and just had to try this new DD 6 inch Excelerator coil. Its a full 6 inches and 3/4 inch thick and weighs 14.5 oz. with cover. I managed to dig this 1898 Barber half from 4 inched deep. Its a rough one but I'll take a half anyday :) The area was a...

    Golden Mod

Didn't like the short rod of the Golden so came up with this. Sure makes swingin a lot easier for us tall guys! Used a whites rod from my xl pro hipmount kit. cut and bent a piece of 3/4 inch CPVC and shoved it down inside the handle. The 3/4 cpvc fits perfect under the control housing. Had...

    SE Problem Solved

at least my problem of not getting depth. The new se must be more sensitive to outside interference then the ex2. I have been noise canceling by pointing the coil towards the airport or cell tower which ever is the closest where I'm detecting. Then I noise cancel again about 18 inches off the...

    Nice little Pendant

Went out for just an hour yesterday and found this religious pendant. It was 6 inches down and under a root! Its two pendants that hang together to form one. Has Mary & Jesus on the inside. This T2 was so quiet yesterday I had to keep pulling the pinpoint trigger just to make sure it was...

Is the T2 a Relic Hunter

You bet it is! I dug these printing plates out of an old park which had a printing company on it which dated back to 1896. The place was tore down in 1949 and fill dirt was brought in around the late 60's. The small plate on the upper left was dug at 18 inches! Most of the others averaged 10...
