    So who is buying all these detectors ?

    In the past with old detectors I dug 1000's of pull tabs. Once did a park and found a whole pencil sharpener like in a school room.. Then right next to it was 1935 nickel. So now I dig every signal

    Tesoro Toltec 2

    My old Tesoro works jut fine. Can;t remember the model but at 2;2 Lbs it was lighter than my Garret so could run it longer.

    A couple nickel finds

    The 3 cent coin was the smallest siver coin, later on it was not silver. It was made to buy a 3 cent postage stamp. Not too popular so not many made. I once had a 1859 and a 1871, long gone now.

    From the fuzzy pics it looks like mother lode gold. Probably from a mine. I have seen this type of rock before.

    Don;'t worry about mistakes, we all make them. It tells us not to repeat them. Ask me how I know. dead batteries are the worst.

    Mark; I bought my first detector in 1969. A Fisher M-Scope. Still have it & it works.

    81 here today,last day of Indian Summer.

    Indian summer here in the Sierras are great, cold in the AM and warm during the day. Grandson got his buck yesterday so some venison will be in the freezer. Have a fire in my woodstove so all is right in my world.

    Rye Patch ... When to go hunt?

    We camped there several years back. Some flour gold below the a=dam. A few coins in the camp ground. Lot's of wind. Blew the coleman camp stove off the table,. Never went back
