    New method of crushing photos on findmall a real hassle

    I liked the way it used to be here on findmall. When you could post a pic and it would show in the size you made it instead of condensed size. Its a hassle to expand it. Only way around it is to upload to photobucket and use links. Alot more work than it used to be.

    DoubleHeader - One gold/plat, One heavy gold !!!

    Hunted 1.5 hours this morning in wet sand and came away with two gold, only 6 coins, and no silver. I like it! First one is 18K with platinum (my first PLAT!). Second is very heavy 14K gold. Hit it when digging, so bent up. Both have initials, will try to return if someone can identify...

    First Gold for 07

    In 2 hours found 3 coins and 1 ring. Slim pickins, but not Bad! Its 14K gold with a russian name embossed. 2007 is off to a good start! Captain Jack, my new mascot, makes his first appearance. Arrg!

    Pirate attack on San Diego

    Went out hunting yesterday, but pretty much skunked. Found a working Elgin watch that was ate up pretty bad. Time was off a hour. It had been in the water a long time. Then I saw this pirate ship. Shortly after I heard a couple of loud cannon shots and turned to see smoke billowing from her deck.

    $480/hr metal detecting

    At least today anyway. Was detecting the beach and fellow approached me about a lost wedding ring. He had just lost it in the childrens play area. Said he'd pay me a reward to find it, but I said no charge. After 5 minutes, I find the 10k ring band. He insists I take $40. Not bad for 5 minutes...

    Gold, a Kennedy, and a Pirate

    Probably my last gold for the year. 10K with one tiny diamond. Also found Captain Jack, he'll be my new mascot. ;-) And a very rare find, a Kennedy half dollar. We had a winter storm. You can see the small cut. It unearthed some weird worms!
