I am sure others see 00/00 digital digits. Does anyone dig them and what have you found if I may ask?
HH, Cody

they were pieces of.....half...... 3/4's of old cans..
Now for the help?
I went up to this house and asked permission to hunt this house -2 acres of ground from a house that dates to late 1700's- it is on my 1850 map. Well the owner was very nice...told me everything he knew about the property: like it was a train stop(there's a train tracks running across the back property, how it was a old restaurant at one time.........
the guy was simply great and told me some guy hit it twenty years ago and really didn't find anything....
the house is intact..the yard is nice....there is an old garden plot, and old barn area, some serious stone fences......well I hunted it hard for 3 hours and got one ring..probably more modern than anything....I dug about 10 pounds of junk-spark plugs, old iron cans, you name it.....oh and there are two really old trees which I pounded the bases of.........this place is a dream site.......
now I know alot of these places have had fill poured on them.........has anybody seen this .....do you have any suggestions........any insight... trust me I hunt hard so no -just do the time.......
aloha- johny mc.

If you are lucky enough to have a place like that,I would pound it every chance I got.You have to mark it in some way though. If you could get a hold of a Gps You can mark any good finds and come back to within feet of it at some later date.Don't get the Gps just for the one one spot.Take it with you all the time.Copy the lattitude & longitude in a note book and you have a perminent record of your good spot.Takes away all the guessing and roaming around looking for it.

Some digits don't add up like I think they should. I have dug them several times and the last one was what looked like a very small aluminum type metal pan that was flat.
I also dig 0/30 and 0/31 that are silver coins. Clad coins, quarters and dimes are 0/28,1/28 through /29 with anything in the /30 or /31 almost a sure bet for a "real" sivler coin. I have found silver dimes at /29 if they are well worn. I do think the soil makes a lot of difference between the air test and actual readings depending on how much minerals are in the soil. I think the self inductance of a target can be really changed depending on the amount of iron ferrite that is around the target which accounts for at least part of the halo. This and any tarnis or decay of a target can shift the conductivity and ferrous reading quiet a bit. As an example a penny that reads 3/28 at one site I hunt often have them at 5 or even 6/28 at another. I mean those are the common numbers. It is clad coins that read just inside of the border on my DFX but silver often reads just to the right of the border with half a crosshairs. I have about half way concluded that 0 ferrous is just to the right of the right border and 0 conductivity is just past the border at the bottom of the screen.
Well enough of this.
Have a great day,
HH, Cody
