1 foot deep old axe head found.

To be honest thats the question i was thinking too , guessing the age of this old axe head is hard because no data is available , looking at it my own guess is that it may be 3 - 4 hundred years old but this is just a guess it could be older. It looks really old though , it has to be a few centuries old i would have thought , i found it at the edge of a field close to a 80 foot cliff , about 8 foot from the edge of the cliff.. It looks like an axe head but maybe its some other tool i am not sure to be honest..

Hi jmb i also agree it looks unlike any axe i have seen before! not one thats likely to have been sold in any hardware shop in the last few hundred years! I found the "axe head" in the uk. To be honest i am not even sure if it is an axe head as it looks unlike any axe head design i have ever seen. It could be really much older than i guessed.
