Hi folks,
I have mostly been finding lots of clad but the last two trips yeilded some interesting finds. The whole quarter is a 1948(silver #3 for me ) which I found last week on a quick half hour hunt, the same day my dad found a 1949d Roosevelt- his first silver. I was real happy for him! Today I went back to the same park and found the piece of silver Washington that lost a fight with a lawnmower:lol: and right before I left I found the silver ring. It was close to a parking area that is full of trash and bottlecaps. The inside band is marked SILVER and I guess the stone is Jade?? You can see a little dark flaw in it so it is some kind of natural stone. Anyone know what it is? It looks fairly old, but I don't really know? My lady likes it and it fit her perfect! The wheat cents are a 1951, 1919s,1956d, and a 1928.Thanks for looking and HH!

Anyone have an Idea how old the ring may be?

but I don't really know how to tell. It is more translucent than transparant but I guess it could be a poorer quality emerald. I just wonder if it would be common to set an emerald that large in silver instead of white gold or platinum? It is about 10 carats too!:yikes:

Nice finds friend...and the ring is a beauty.

Areas full or trash and bottlecaps re wherethe goodies are still hidin'

That is a pretty ring Backlashd....I can see why your lady
likes it. Congrats on the Washington quarter and the piece.
I found 1.5 Silver Washington quarters earlier this year that
lost the lawnmower battle. Never did find the other half.
Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Sorry, I've been out of town this weekend, but thanks to all for the comments and for looking! I can't wait to go hunting again!
