Hello Eric, Mr. Bill and Frank,
No need to respond to this thread, I was under the impression the center mounted coil was a 10.5" coil rather than a 10" coil, The coil shell is 10.5" inches in width so I assumed the detection pattern was 10.5" inches as well. It wasn't until frank mentioned 10" inch coil that I took a closer look at the bottom of the coil and measured it with a ruler, Yup! Coil shell is 10.5" but the auctal coil windings are 10" to 10.25" making this a 10" detection coil.
Still, I prefer this coil over the 11" coil as it swings so much easier in the surf or fresh water wading and it see's less ground "smoother opearation."
