Anybody else having trouble purchasing the 10x14 DD for the Ace 250
They have had mine on "back order " for over 2 months now
Maybe they don't like us down under Pyrites Pete
 
Hehehehe funny, where did you try to order from? How much are they anyway in the US? Here in Holland they cost 149 euro.

I just ordered mine last night and received an email not 10 minutes ago that it has been sent. Not sure what the hold up with yours is. This is where I ordered mine from.

Bottom of the page. Mine should be in my hands no later than Monday and I just ordered it last night.
 
Thanks Eric & Candcantiques for your replies. Armed with this new information I phoned them[.from Australia] . There explanation was as follows. There are 2 manufactures of the coils. One in USA and the other cheaper coil comes from Bulgaria. When you purchase an Ace 250 and take up the option of the super special 10 x14 at the same time, you get the cheaper Bulgarian coil , which they are currently out of stock. and have no idea when stock will arrive . Well I will just have to wait some more Pyrites Pete
 
I haven't been on the KellyCo website in a while but have you seen those new coils that the Bulgarian Company manufactures for the Ace 250? On that company's website I think they are now manufacturing a 15 X 18" butterfly-coil for the Ace 250. You'll have to check it out if you have time to kill.
 
15"x18" SEF for Ace 250?:surprised:I didn't know about that:yikes:Sounds pretty cool, though. Yeah, those Bulgarians/Detech makes some great after market search coils for a number of different brands and models. I've never been disappointed in any of their products.:thumbup:Happy Hunting!:)
 
Well Folks the coil arrived 67 days after ordering it. It is a tad heavy but I will get use to that. The shaft was loose on the coil , had to cut a washer and it is fine now. Easy to pinpoint . Cut the sensitivity back to 3 bars Took it to the beach to play with and found $8.50 and 2.20 Euros while testing. It has great depth and runs quite in dry and wet sand. Pyrites Pete
