I wanted to go back to the old home I had permission to search and found silver 99 before got rained out on September 2nd. I started where I left off with the pro coil and found 5 Wheats and a memorial over the rest of the yard. I decided to put on the 15x18 butterfly coil to see if I may have missed a deep silver or one on edge. I wanted that 100.
Was near the sidewalk where I had searched before and got a wisp of a twang. But was broken up. Decided to try to pinpoint and locate since heard that twang. Dug my plug and probed and there she was; a 1940 Merc. Was tarnished and worn but was still beautiful to me!! Ran the coil over the spot and heard another small twang just a few inches away. Was there another here? Dug in and out came the 1942 Merc. I guess they were just far enough apart that it seemed as if it was a broken signal. So I learned maybe all broken signals may not be junk!!
Thanks everyone for looking. I will continue to post from the Philippines if I find good items over there. In case did not see my last post I will be retiring end of the month and moving to the Philippines since Wife is from there and here family is there. The island she lives on (Cebu) has had activity since 1500's. Magellan was killed there.
I plan on detecting across the country on my way to fly out of California. Maybe even a little gold panning in Nevada and California before I leave.
