11" SE Pro or SEF????

Erik in NJ

New member
I have the 16.5 Excellerator and the WOT though I have not really had the chance to use them. Have been away from this forum since last fall and I see that these new coils are available. For maximum depth do you think the Pro coil is the way to go or the SEF 12 or 15? Thanks for any input!

Regards, Erik

I currently have the 12" and 4.5 X 7 Excelerator coils, with the SEF 10x12 and a 6" on the way. I won't be able to afford to buy the ML Pro too, but I have to say the performance of the Excelerator line has been very impressive! If the new butterfly coil works as well as my 12", (and I'm thinking it will be even better) then it will be what I will normally have on the machine for most sites. They're stable, have extreme depth with accurate I.D., (from my experiences), and lightweight to boot.

You will most likely be satisfied with either, but I know the Excelerator coils I own are top shelf quality!

Personally, I wouldn't be looking for depth gains over the WOT coil with the SE Pro or SEF coils...

I definitely like the 15" WOT on my ExpII. Easy to pinpoint and pretty stable. As for depth, it definitely hits stuff deeper than the length of my vibraprobe. Sensitivity to the small stuff and separation is okay but that is to be expected with such a big coil. Not sure if you would get much greater depth with the SEF or SE Pro coils but the better stability and separation would be the draw for these coils.

my two cents * 100 (inflation for the price of petrol :)...Keith
