I have just recently become interested in trying metal detecting. I have no experince at this writing but have been studying all of the different makes and features ( many of which I do not understand.) I have been hoping that I could get a machine that does a reasonable job for $200 or less for a beginner. I have been looking at the Fisher 1212-X but since this is Fishers low end machine I am wondering if it would prove to be satisfactory for me. Your comments sounds like it would. Any further comments from you or others would be appreciated. I have also looked at Bounty Hunters in this general price range. Many Thanks in advance.- OMA
