1236 x2 tune up

I would think they would! Only way to find out is give them a call! Why do you think it needs a tune up?

It's a Los banos model and i had it for quite some time. It's working great but I'm thinking it might need new parts before they wear out.

Man if it ain't broke why fix it. Man there's a ton of antique Fishers from the 1260's -1266x's that haven't ever been tuned and they still perform flawlessly!! They are built like tanks and normally the only thing that does go bad on a rare occasion is a coil. They aren't like a car needing new plugs and wires every so often! As long as you treat it right it will last you a long time. Just my two cents!!

I had it for 5 years already and it's found me alot of silver as well as alot of old finds. And the depth is incredible on this machine 8 inches on a mercury dime loud and clear. Thanks for the advice junior. Your right as long as i keep her well maintained in which i do she treats me good with good finds in return.

Man that sounds like you got one of the deep seeking 1236's I wouldn't mess with it if it's going that deep!! I had one a long time ago and I now use a 1270 which kinda reminds me of the 1236x2 I had, it just has a few more bells and whistles.I love the the silencer switch it's like using a Tesoro which is silent search with the depth close to a 1266x.

Yea that silencer switch helps alot in trashy areas But either way i can feel whats in the ground with it on or off. It's a great machine and I'll never part with mine.

Hey Dirt Lizard,
I sent my 1236X2 in to Fisher becuase I didn't think it was performing as when I bought it.
Sure enough, they replaced a component and it seemingly works better than new.
Mine was under a lifetime warranty and if yours is a Los Banos model, it would still be under a lifetime warranty, if you are the original owner.
Good luck
Ken/CO
