Perhaps a real measure of any detector's worth, and the 1266X included, is what others will PAY to get a sample. I keep mine in pristine condition with covers and cases and all the usual stuff one employs "to protect the investment". Therefore, it's pretty nice. So far:
I've been offered 300$, sight unseen, from one DEALER who resells them in Europe, where they are a HOT commodity.
I've seen similar units go on ebay for as high as
416$, in one instance.
I had a fellow in Texas offer to beat any price if I ever wanted to sell it.
It IS a dandy detector if you want depth and ease of use.
It IS NOT a CZ or XLT or 2500, or whatever. It is what it is.
It DOES have a language all it's own and will make you learn how to use it.
For some, though, all of this is of no matter - it's still at the top of the heap.
