12x15sef for T2 Does it work as good as they say?

I just recently purchased a new t2 and I must say that I love this detector! I was just wondering if the sef coil is as good as they say it is. I also saw that they have 2 dif size sef coils and I would like to get one but dont know which would be the better choice for the kind of detecting I do! I mostly just do old parks and residental homes but I would also like to start hunting the corn fields and other spots! I used the 5in coil and I was really happy with it. I just wished it went a little deeper. I just didnt want to spend 200 bucks on a coil that wont do much more then the one that came with the T2. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I actually had a very hard time finding any feedback at all for the 15" DD and 12x15 SEF. I bought both just out of curiosity. The 15" DD...I did not like. 2 lbs...not balanced at all...only deeper on larger objects.

The 12x25 SEF surprised me. It balances well on the T2...came in on my scale at a half pound lighter than the 15" DD. It's a Tad heavier than the stock coil but not gonna wear you out swinging all day. Ground balances well and depth is pretty awesome. You will see a pretty good increase on consistent target IDs per coins at what was fringe depth of the stock coil....and added depth on coin size objects too. Now I'm not filling the room with smoke and mirrors and gonna tell you that you're going to see a 5" increase on a dime...not gonna happen. I think an inch or two is about it on coins. As with the 15"....the depth picks up dramatically on larger than coin size objects. Relic hunting fields and woods it would be my #1 choice...unless it was simply loaded with iron or trash.

NEL Coils are supposed to be coming for the T2 in February so keep an eye out for that. They are a little more expensive than the SEF but I hear nothing but good things about them on other detectors...and they say they are lighter weight than the SEFs of similar size.

Thanks alot for the pointers! I just ordered the sef about 5 mins ago! I couldnt find any reviews on the coil but there doesnt seem to be too much around on the T2 either. I wanna get into feild hunting thats why I bought it so we will see what happens. I wish I would of checked this forum again before I rushed into it! Not sure I really needed it. I got a great deal on it though so I couldnt resist. I cant wait to try it though I must say. Even if it gives me little depth and a little better pin pointing Ill be satisfied. If nothing else its one bad ass looking coil thats for sure! Thanks again! Ill keep an eye out for the NEL coil I always read great things about them also! Ill def have to get me one of those!

My new 15x12 SEF Coil arrived today and although i have not used it or even put it on the T2 i am suprised at how light it is i was expecting it to be much heavier,i cannot give any feedback on how it performs till the New Year but as soon as i get out i will update my findings.
