1350?

I read on another forum where it was said to not buy the 1350 but to buy the Ace 250 as there is no different in depth and you could save money and is a lot lighter and easier to swing. The 1350 has more toys but that is all. Is this true???
Don't want to start anything just would like to know as I am thinking 1350.
Thanks for any help!!!

I like my gtp1350, mid ranged priced detector, Every detector has a learning curve. I also have a ace250, great beginner machine. I like using it to find stuff in tot lots, first day out my daughters boy friend found 4 rings, two gold, one sivler band, and a class ring. This was a apark that hadnt been hunted to much!

I own the GTP 1350 and I love it. The 1350 has 24 segments for discrimination, the ACE 250 has 12. The 1350 has the sizing feature the ACE 250 does not. The 1350 has a back lit screen, the 250 does not. Don't get me wrong, I think the 250 is an awesome machine for the money. The 1350 has a detachable battery pack that you can mount to your hip and in that mode the 1350 is probably lighter than the 250. The 1350 has a salt elimination mode for saltwater beach hunting and the 250 does not. The 1350 has more hunting modes than the 250. My brother in law owns the 250 and I have used it and it is a very capable machine for $212.00, if money is the issue then get the 250 and it will reward you. If money is not the issue then get the 1350 you will not regret it!:garrett:

There isn't a helluva lot of difference in depth. Course coils determine depth not the bells and whistles and with the big coil the 250 will go as deep as you care to dig. One should never buy a detector based on alleged depth. Most coins and goodies are buried well within the depth range of most detectors - not halfway to China as many seem to think.. The 250 is a great machine but if money is not an object I'd shoot for the1350 just for the profiling feature alone. It will save you tons of unnecessary digging and it has other useful features as has been stated. Good luck in your choice.
