14" Round Excelerator Compared To S-12 & WOT

I've searched through all the Sovereign threads looking for any information on the new (not older design) round 14" Excelerator that Kellyco has been selling for a while. Couldn't find anything, just a few messages on the older version years ago. I'm curious if this coil might be the perfect compromise between the WOT and the S-12. IE: The depth of the WOT with more the weight and seperation of the S12. If it's even close to the WOT in depth on small coins yet weighs less then it might be a good choice for me. I'm mainly a land hunter for old coins. From what little I could dig up one guy did say the S-12, 12.5" Excelerator, and 14" Excelerator were about equal in weight, and that the 12.5" Excelerator was equal to performance and build quality to the S-12, but he didn't mention if the 14" had any depth advantage on small coins. I'd like to also hear any comparisons anybody can give of the 10x12 or 12x15 to these coils in weight and depth, pinpointing, etc. What I could find on those seems to indicate that the 12x15 gets less depth than the 10x12 on smaller coils, so it seems it might be passed the point of dimenishing returns for coin targets.

I realize this is the beach forum but I'm hoping a few of you Excalibur guys have played with these coils and can compare. I'm mainly looking to use one in some of my cleaner land sites that have deeper coins. It doesn't have to be my "always on" coil, but rather one I can use for these specific sites. Still, I have read that a lot of S-12 users always keep that coil on because it's light enough and works fairly well in the trash. Never read that about the WOT. I would assume the 12.5" Exc. would be the same if it is indeed equal to the S12 like I read?
