14k de p

Along with a 41 Merc., 4 wheats and a no date Buffalo nickel, I dug a thin gold ring with a small diamond. It looks like gold, is marked 14k (short space) and then de (space) and p. There possibly could be another letter before the de. There is a slight scratch...wear mark where the letter would be. I know what gf, gs, hge, kp, ect. all stands for, but have never seen de, or something de. Have any of you? I found the ring under a tree at a depth of 3" and had decided to dig everything from foil up for about a 4' radius around the tree. If it is 14k, the ring locked on 52 and was a mid tone in the 3 tone mode. My disc. was 6 and sen. 80. Thanks for any imput on the ring. I am going to have it checked. Hope it is gold, that will be my first with the T 2. HH jim tn

Had the ring checked by a jeweler friend and it is 14k plumb, the small diamond chip is real, about a 10th of a karet and the ?de are probably initials. HH jim tn
