1500/1350 Can't Decide

I'm about to get another Garrett (already have a GTAx 550). The 1500 will cost me about $150 more than the 1350. What's the real differences between these two detectors other than the 1500 (imaging-5 size levels) vs the 1350 (profiling-3 size levels)?
I've been told that the 1350 will profile both in motion and during pinpointing and that the 1500 will only image during pinpointing. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Thanks for any comments <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Guess one thing i`ve heard is that the profiling works with any coil you use. The 1500 imaging only works with the 9 and 12 inch image coils. Anyone correct me if i`m wrong. The 1350 is what i`m considering for next year. That also gives Garrett some time to release any other new models before i get one.

For less money you have close to the same thing with the 1350.
I really like the 7x10 coil on it as well, good ground coverage one way while getting the target seperation the other.
It is simple to use but still gets good depth. Only thing I wished they had put the all-metal on it.

1500 has proven itself for 6 years and the 1350 is sort of the new kid on the block with limited feedback..I would visit a Garrett dealer and compare them sort of try them on for size to coin a phrase. As I haven't used the 1350 can't make a comparison, but with the price difference seems to be a good value.

You are right in that the GTP 1350 provides profiling with ANY of the Crossfire coils that work on the GTA series detectors. Having more choices with profiling and a lower per coil cost is a nice plus that the GTP 1350 offers as compared to the GTI 1500.
I've been using the 1350 a good deal recently and found that it offers surprising perfotmance for the price and the new Rhino epoxy coil does not false or chirp as the Crossfire coils tend to when you bump rocks or tree branches in the woods.
Hope this helps . . . . Andy

Thanks for the input Andy. Hope all is well with you.
