Unfortunately the 1776 and 1976 were on the same bicentenial half. But the 1876 Indian head is a good date.
We finally got some rain- 1.5-2 inches so hit some yards I had permission at but was waiting for moisture. 1905 barber quarter, 1903 and 1906 V nickels, some silver and IH's. Dug one hit I usually wouldn't have but for some reason it sounded nice- hit pretty much smack dab center of the screen. First coin out was a nickel and immediately new there would be either a silver or copper coin coming out. Do this every once in a while, sometimes get nickel, then silver, then something inbetween signal, but this was rock solid in the center every swing. I think this happens when the coins are in solid electrical contact and pure averaging occurs.
Otherwise just a fun time, got a big handful of wheaties, one was a 1909 VDB, a first for me. Took a good magnifying glass to discern the VDB. Maybe some night when I get a few beers in me I'll try discern an "S"
