Hunted an old ste a friend took me to today. Lots of activity there throughout the years. Got this beauty of a coin, well to me it beautiful even though it is well worn:clapping:

Also managed a couple .45 round balls.

Ain't she a beauty. That would make my heart skip a beat. Just think of the stories that coin could tell if it could talk? Think where the silver must have been mined, where it was minted, where it traveled before it got aboard a Spanish ship that sailed half way around the world before it sunk. This is a very romantic hobby we are involved in. There is a part of me that would have loved to have lived back in those pioneering and exploring days.

Thanks guys. It was such a great thrill finding it. It rang out beautifully on the SE with pro-coil. But then again, it was only 3" deep in a cow pasture:surprised:

Great find!! Love those little things. I found one on top of the ground at a construction site about 5 years ago (I actually accidentally set my coil down on it while I was digging another target!!). Found 3 of them last summer with my SE. One a month for 3 months. One at an old school, one in back of an 18th c house and one in an old corn field! Keep em comming!!
