The value of those at melt (with $19.74 spot at the moment) is $55.41. But typically if you were selling to a pawn shop or coin dealer they'd pay you 90% of the melt value ($49.87) if you were lucky. But, I did find one online broker who is buying junk coins for spot X 1.075 ($59.57), but then you'd have to pay shipping which would take away 3 or 4 dollars from that. Bags of junk silver are selling for about 15.5X face value right now, although those bags usually don't have many Barber series coins in them. But at 16X face value your group of coins, worth $3.90 face, would be $62.40. It's hard to tell from the photographs, but the average condition of them seems to be Good...some less and a few that are probably Fine. Using an average price for Good, this group of coins has a numismatic value of $233.75, but honestly only a couple of them are truly collectible and most, if sold, would be bought at the junk silver price. However, considering that they are "dug" coins, the numismatic value likely would be in the 50% range of their otherwise value (again, it's hard to tell condition from these photographs)...so that puts them around $111.88. That's probably way more information than you wanted to know, but I will offer you $75 for the lot, shipped. I'm leaving for a trip on Friday morning, so would need to know before then. Thanks.

thanks for all your post but if I wanted scrap I have account with Midwest refiners. Just thought someone might want for own collection maybe I was wrong but thanks to all going back to beach spot diggen is good today.

Most people know that coin value is determined by "condition" as the main consideration, then how many made, then date. I think the above was a very fair offer.
Finally, in the end, the TRUE value is determined by what someone will pay to get them!! Seller would have been better off saying, "I will accept the highest offer
over "X" amount, which would have saved a lot of time. Oh Well

The $75 I offered is not scrap price. It's actually 19.25X face value. Junk silver is SELLING for 15.4X face value right now. That's what dealers are SELLING it for. Midwest refinery is not going to pay you 15.4X face value, let alone the 19.25X I offered. They are your coins, but if you're going to sell them for scrap to Midwest refinery, I don't understand why you wouldn't sell them for the $75 I offered. How much do you want to get for them?
