1802 draped Bust

The Fog

New member
Hey what's up guys. Haven't posted in a while. Found this draped bust, frock button, and a bunch of tombacks at a cellar hole I hit on saturday. My buddy found an 1836 Largie and a Beatup Connect. Copper. The dent in the draped bust is a cudmark, I thought it was just dented but apparently that was common during minting, die crack/break etc. you can sometimes find out what variety the coin is it's cudmark... pretty cool. I tried using my safari in custom coin mode tonite, sens at 20, trash low density.... It didn't work very well! I was just trying to get deeper, I may have to invest in a larger coil.

Sweet nibblets! I would love to find a draped bust cent like that!! Problem is, I'd have to go to the other side of the country to find one, lol.

Great finds, Fog! Keep 'em coming.

HH,

Ray
