1871 IH Penny found by my 14 year old son on 7-18-08 with an Ace 250..

He was told by several old fellas that the park was hunted out!! He found the penny, and 1948 silver dime and a silver ring!
 
Awesome finds, that IH is very very sharp!!!
 
Most of them are ate up by the soil. Here in Pa most of them are in poor condition.
 
wow that is a key date, just looked it up, worth several hundred bucks!!! I have no idea how to grade coins but you can read full liberty easy, here is a price guide

Looks like value has to do with it having the shallow or bold "N" in Cents.
 
That coin has a lot of nice details. Don't clean it! I bet it would gade VF which is very unusual for any coin that old which has been buried. Don't clean it. Worth at least 200 bucks, probably a bit more. Don't clean it.

hi im the boy that found this coin its my second oldest coi and the nicest. the N in cents is as bold as gets. so i take it thats
