1912 nickel and a sweet old Indian!!

Hit a new spot today. It looked good on paper was had been overburdened with 4" of soil. Still ok. Found a ton of claddy coin spills (12 Rosie's in 1 hole) so I paid gas lol. Ended up digging a lot of junk but ground my first 1912 nickel ( liberty?) and my oldest Indian. A sexy 1889. Indian on video for the discovery.

Yup that would be a liberty head nickel or a "V" nickel. 1912 was the last year that they made those...well.. there's actually a few 1913's that they made on accident but they are SUPER rare. In fact, a 1913 V nickel sold at auction about three weeks ago for a cool 3 million US. And to think... you were just one year away :) Great finds.

Swing and a miss!!! Lol
