Was detecting in the old road lots of things coming out then right in the rut of the road i found the 1st official coin a 1930 penny and thear is somthing about the chemisty of the woods that has left the penny in really good shape its a D mint I imagine the old model T was very bumpy i noted when i got away from the road targets dropped remember i found the 1879 dime in the old road but that was not in the woods so this gives me hope a silver coin may have been dropped I also found two shot shells right next to the penny in the road, and i have dated them positivly one marked W.C.CO FEILD NO12 this head stamp was used by the western cartrige co untill 1933 at that time it merged with winchester then i found a peters PETERS QUICK SHOT 12 G THIS HEAD STAMP WAS USED UP TO 1933 AS WELL BECAUSE IN 1934 PETERS MERGED WITH REMINGTON SO WE HAVE A 1930 PENNY AND TWO SHELLS THATCANT PAST 33 SO WE ARE IN THE EARLY 1930,S this would have been during the great depreasion this rum river vally was dry then and this road leads to a small shack and i dated some bottles to the mid 30,s and early 40,s they moved because of flooding normally you cant get past the ox bow it is flooded in fact the woods is often underwater wich makes what critter said true i found the token in a spot 2 ft higher than a normally flooded pool be trying for silver I am asking lots as this is a 30,s depreasion site and they probly did not have much money but we will see

Real nice video - excellent condition for the cent; can't quiet tell, but it looks nearly uncirculated.

Congratulations, and keep us posted; I know you have gone a long time finding relics only - maybe your luck is changing in a good direction.

That 1930 penny is a good indicator you are on the right road (no pun intended) As far as shotgun shells / casings you will be able to start your own museum and I have a strong feeling you are not done finding them lol

I think many here understand your excitement. The hard work of research paying off with a find that indicates you are on the right track is priceless.
Love your videos Gunnar, keep em' coming!
