1936 Liberty Half Dollar

I was hunting on a small beach on a lake on Cape Cod, Mass. I usually just find loose change, but yesterday hit a weak signal in the 90s. I almost didn't dig it thinking it was probably just some junk scrap metal; but to my amazement, about 10 inches down was a 1936 Liberty Half Dollar! I didn't think this beach was that old, but there must be some history there that I don't know about.

It could be a fresh ish drop. I found a barber half on a beach where I thought all the silver was gone because they replaced the sand due to oil contamination.

Nice! I've found two walking Libertys and they're the only silver coins I've ever found. I keep my 1918 coin by my bed side. I think it helps me sleep well at night.
