1st relic hunt of the fall & winter season

A couple of my hunting buddies and I had been wondering how the woods were, so I decided to check them this morning. I opted for this recon mission just to walk the trails for a couple of hours to see how the undergrowth was and just swing along the trails with the 5" coil on my LTD. As a result of not getting to far off the trails I didn't find much, but did get a 3 ringer and they are fun anytime. Got 2 fishing weights, too???? Nearest water is 5 miles away. I did dig one interesting piece that through the dirt looked silver, but when cleaned is at best silver plated. The oldest coin was a 50d wheatie and the marble came up with the nickel. Dug a nice black marble the other day. We have had a couple of nights in the mid to upper 40's, but am wondering about tic's. Didn't notice any on my cloths or me yet. Oh, the woods look fine and the 11" coil is going back on and shifted into boost mode this morning. Let the relic and old coin season began.:detecting: HH jim tn

Are there any Battlefield areas around you Jim that is detectable ??

The F75 LTD is a sweet relic machine and not too bad on coins also!

I don't know what it is. It has a big purple stone mounted in it. 3 of us hit the woods this morning and save for a couple period bullets and a state sales tax token that I have soaking trying to see the state, the highlight of the hunt was seeing one of my buddies go flying through the woods with a swarm of yellow jackets hot on his tail. They got him six times and my other buddy once. 6 stings will take the starch out of you. HH jim tn
