Excal Loot
Old lake

ATTN: Surf Pirates
It seems ya looters be look'n fer cuts in the sand..
hitting the mines after the storms ... so...
I decided to apply that theory to my fresh water lakes!
We have had 40 to 60 mph winds lately...
Hit some spots that I shouldn't have even gotten a signal..
Well - Your theory works!!!

Hit the mine about 7;20pm, water temp was a cool 48 and the air 60..
signals were far apart - but they were there...no gold..."but even Skully's human.." - abandoned ship around 12:00pm

It chur is great to get back in the drink again!!!
Here is the Excals first loot for 2007

My friends say I have ISSUES!!!

The skull was a stick shift knob...
I drilled a 2" deep hole in the top of the handle, and screwed in a 3" galv. course thread screw - leaving the head up about an inch and a half..
Then I used the Loctite 10min Marine Epoxy

Awsome pictures matey! Nice skull set-up....looks like you might start a trend and Im gonna follow your lead and do a little bit of moding on my detector as well. Not sure what I'll do but if it ends up looking as cool as yours I'll be as happy as a pig in mud. Is that the 800 or the 1000 excal? just curious:detecting:
Cheers!

Very Nice custom job you did to the Excalibur Skully! I LIKE IT!!! And there is nothin' wrong with doing a little "fishing in the dark"!:bouncy: I like that Railway Token you got. Those are always fun to find and sure beat those crusty Zincolns. Too bad that Merc didn't come out better. It was dropped practically new back in 1928. And congrat's on the Silver Ring and the Nitro! Also, I take it that the person that made that Sinker was a bit Blind. I just hope his fishing line wasn't a long piece of rope! Hope you keep pulling those great finds Skully and look forward to your next post. Good Luck and HH Skully The Pirate!
