Last night on the BBC news .com, a MDer found a roman helmet in the UK that was in excellent condition. The
picture shows the helmet was of a design totally different from those used in every day living, It sat tall on the head
having a curved back and a knob at the top. A local museum bid on the helmet at auction but apparently lost to
an unknown bidder. It would be interesting to know what detector was used in this find. I didn't bookmark the article
and today it was gone. Anyone out there able to investigate this find and get the full story? One of the magazines
will surely pick up on this story. The finder will surely be rewarded with big bucks. Maybe Garrett has connections
