Got up early with the Mrs. and brought our coffee to go, went out to the road construction to see how it's going. They're about to repave the road so we headed
onto the sidewalks near the construction. We found an area where the grass was dry and we could clearly see no one was taking care of the yard.
We stick to the public lands and if the land owners ask we politely move on. Most of the time they are just curious and sometimes we get an invite to search their yard.
We quickly begin to find some clad coins near the surface. The wife calls me over, with her excitement I think she found a gold ring or something.
In the plug I see the silver edge of what appears to be a dime but the diameter seems bigger, seems that's all we've been finding lately are silver dimes.
Not complaining but large silver is king!
We are not sure if the scratch was there before she dug it out, it seems like a fresh scratch, but she was very careful once she saw the silver rim of the 46' Washington.
About 20 mins later a few feet away using 4k frq bottlecap program I got a signal on
my Deus this rings up as 84 on vdi - repeating - with the horseshoe indicating a deep target.
The suspense builds up as I dig the plug, fold it back and there it is the gleaming white Gen Washington head staring at me laying flat at the bottom unfazed
by the years of rain and frost. I get one of these
everytime I find silver.
What a rewarding hobby!!
About an hour later after many memorials and a few more clad we call it a day and go for breakfast.
Thanks for looking. Good luck and happy hunting.
Hope to see your finds of the day!
