2 years of G2 finds

VERY nice!

KyJoe -- the black display boxes with the white padding can be purchased from Hobby Lobby for a decent price.

sekypaleo -- what are those two items in the bottom center of your larger black display case, to the left of the knapsack hooks? They look a bit like "thread spools;" I found one of those today, and had no idea what it was, other than maybe a button from a denim outfit, or something...

Steve, We always called them "pack studs" they are common Civil War site finds. I will check in my Civil War artifact book by Howard Crouch and see what he class them in his book. Bill
 
I completely forgot to include what I consider my best find with my G2...my completely intact colonial era shoe buckle (actually found in a pioneer campsite dating 1790-1810.
