2011 Spring hunt with Michelob

As many of you know, my cousin Mike (aka Michelob) and I try to get together twice a year for a week of hunting. He comes down to Missouri in the spring and I go to Minnesota in the fall. Well, I know it isn't officially spring yet, but cabin fever was just too strong this year for Michelob so we moved up the hunt a few weeks and had the week of 2/27 thru 3/6 this year.

As always we had a great time and found our fair share of goodies. We got in several hunts with Ray-Mo and a hunt with several members of my local club. We were both lucky enough to find silver, injuns, old nickles, and a few Civil War bullets. We even got to spend a little time at the gun range to Mike could shoot my AR rifle with he sure did enjoy.

Here is a pic of my silver for the week

In our contest we have, a couple of those did not count because I found them while waiting for his plane to arrive. The official count was Bob--15 and Mike--17. He beat me by only 2 silvers but crushed me in quality. Hopefully he will be able to post his finds today so I wont spoil them here although there is a sneak peak in the video below:thumbup:

you had an E-Trac now? Do you still put some miles on an SE?

I would slip "Cousin' Mike" the shaft:cool: and count those two you found while waiting for his plane to arrive.:)

That way you would be tied with him in total:smoke: :bouncy:

Nice huntin'

Yes, Bryce, I am using an E-trac now but figured I would post here since several members here including you have been part of past bi-annual hunts with us.

And Guvner, I know exactly what you mean and am itching for that day to come:drool:

Very nice finds there Bob and a great video.:clapping: Not only did you guys find some nice silver, the best part was sharing the fun with good friends. HH.

Bob,

That is one great video, obviously a lot of work. For those of us stuck behind a desk a video like this is the closest thing to a hunt we can enjoy.

Thanks for making my day and congrats on the killer finds.
