2nd trip to the hospital last night with Casey - no baby yet and we are all back home

She so much wants to see her baby face-to-face and was in a lot of pain yesterday (not to the screaming stage yet though) with contractions 4 and 3 minutes apart. Am sure it will be this weekend though. I am glad the boss and his wife understand me having to leave post haste to get everyone. Hey even her husband met us and we took him too....even though not telling us a lot of things that normally should not be a secret. Still not sure about that 'boy'. yet still hoping for the best for Casey and baby to have an honest and decent husband and Dad. Things are still not adding up though and my though on the spiritual side is he is still fighting God. We are praying for him and the devil hates that and Josh is walking in the wrong path - fighting God. I believe he is in for a fall and once that happens then when he cries out to God, His mercy and grace will respond but for now....

Lost time from work the other day and again last night. I work tonight and will be off the next 2 days and a 3rd on call. So maybe within those days I won't lose much more time.

Just an update of what is going on here. Keep Casey, Josh and baby to soon come, Leelan Daniel, in your prayers. Thanks all.

Prayed for her this morning.

This is her first baby and false labor pains do happen and she will probably be in labor for some time when she is in full labor, like most first time childbirths! Hang in there for Josh, as the more prayers we pray, the meaner and onryier he will be! But the prayers of the saints availeth much and it may take a fall of hitting the bottom to get his attention for crying out to God! God is working on him and cannot do a lot until Josh is willing and Casey, too! He never forces anyone to accept His only begotten Son Jesus, as their own personal Savior, as it is their choice to open their heart's door and let Him in! My prayers are for Casey and baby to be healthy and well after her delivery ordeal....which is not fun at all! Been there and done that, but oh the joy of motherhood, for the pain is forgotten when holding that precious little one in arms of love! God Bless! Betty

There was a lady giving birth last night and the anguished cries of pain were hard on the woman I know and I prayed for a swift delivery for her. I think, right or wrong, that when one is in pain we cry out to God in sounds only He can understand and He sends His Holy Spirit to aid. I know when Casey spilled boiling hot soup on her foot many years back the scream was horrific and while Sherry was quick to turn to see what was happening God had me off my feet, pulling the sock off her foot, scooping her up and getting her to the shower to run water over it to cool down the burning. That wasn't me even though I had been a police man or because I had had many years of emergency first aid training...it was God's Holy Spirit that got me up and over to her in mere seconds and to the shower.

As the water ran I could see the skin coming off her foot. The ambulance people from the fire dept arrived and did nothing but walk into the bathroom looked at her and walked casually back to their ambulance. Casey was going into shock and these bozos were doing nothing...I carried Casey to the ambulance and told them to get her to the hospital NOW!!. They looked stunned at my demand. Sherry went with her and off they went. I followed shortly later in the car.

At the hospital, the nurse was telling us that it would take skin grafts and a lot of therapy and a lot of time to heal. We said that we had faith it would not take that long. Nurse obviously wasn't a Christian and mumbled that the human body can do some things but this is way too bad.

Within mere weeks her foot was totally healed....without skin grafts, without the deep painful scrubbing the nurse said would have to happen, no physical therapy....AND when it was all healed there was a white mark on her pink foot of a white dove! Glory to God and to the Holy Spirit for what He has done.

So I know the lady's pain was shortened and her delivery was shortened. I pray the same for Casey.

Thanks for your post, Pete, and I know exactly now about ambulance medics, as I called them last night for Cliff, who passed out and had another fall, hitting his nose and head against the bedroom door and bleeding like crazy from his nose....it was all over his shirts...T shirt, too and on the carpteting! They looked at him and didn't seemed concerned at all and said he hadn't bled much a teaspoon or two....well it certainly was more than that!

He was so weak and has or had a tingling in his arm and let hand! They checked his meds, as if he was on dope or drugs, and then because Cliff needed to go and agreed to go to the hospital, they finally took him on the stretcher.

I got to the Emergency Room at the hospital by 7:30 pm and he had already been there a little while! He has been poked, stuck, pinched and scanned and we were there over 4-1/2 hours before taken to his room by midnight! I tried to call and see how he is doing but it's like pulling teeth to get someone to talk to, as I hate leaving messages on a voice mail! Will be up to see him this afternoon! One of his lens fell out of his glasses, so he can't see very well, and of course it is Sunday and no one at the eye place to fix the glasses! He is on a full mask at 15 liters and has a cut nose (they used super-glue and a couple pieces of tape, his forehead is bruised and has a very bad black eye!

I've been kidding him about having a fight with the door and the door won! :) He wasn't feeling well enough to think it was funny though! Wasn't in good shape at all when I left!

Prayer works and I was praying for him and he had a very bad headache with great pain! It eased up some but finally I told the male nurse that he needed some meds because he was really hurting! They did get the med then, but they were taking their own good time in getting him something at all!

There is so much pain and ill health now that both the medics, drs and nurses get used to it, and aren't as compassionate as they should be! Their hearts get seared and they do what they can but by the hosp rules!

I pray also for Casey to have a quick delivery and both come through well and with joy for baby and mom!

God Bless! Betty

keeping you all in prayer

have brought Cliff before the throne of Grace. Have prayed that Cliff will get the medical attention he needs and that God will put whoever needs to be there to get it done as only God knows what needs to be done and who to put there for that. Praying God's Holy Spirit moves to make this all come to pass and Cliff is home soon and feeling much better. In Jesus name. Amen

Thank you, Pete, your prayers are greatly appreciated! I am tired but holding up as well as can be! Haven't done much at home, but did visit Cliff from 2 to 4:30 this afternoon and helped him with a few things! I fixed his glasses for him and now he has something to use to fill out his menu slips! He has very bad eyes anyway and not to be able to wear his glasses is even harder for him to see! Hope all turns out well for all of you and the new baby grandson, when he decides to get here! Some come quickly; others take their time! :) God Bless! Betty
