BavariaMike - what part of Bavaria are you hunting the most ? Are you hunting in towns or open country - farm fields - public land or what ? I would think with the ancient history of your region you could find something just about anywhere. Just curious.
I spent some military time up around Trier in the Eiffel region. Was not MD'ing then but would almost be afraid to dig up something around that region for fear of it going BOOM !

I'm North of Grafenwoehr. I prefer relic hunting, mostly farm fields beside a town that is 1000 years old. Working on permission for some historical sites, a 1504 battle field and a castle built around 1107. HH, Mike

Mike - Do you speak German and are the locals fairly cooperative with permission to MD on their land ??

Yes I speak fluent German, still get stuck on words but can get around it. A lot of good people around here, all the farmers I've asked to hunt their land have said yes, at least 50+ and only one true "no" but he isn't a farmer, some say he is one of the richest men in the town and a good reputation of being a butthead. No great loss. Some people think I'm a little crazy and laugh at what I do for a hobby but those people always give permission. HH, Mike
