3.5 mm neoprene wader ...how cold can it go?

i also could use a pair of long neoprene gloves to go with it ...any 1 know of some good ones?

I always get them oversized so I can wear layers of fiberfill clothes and wicking type thermal underwear.

Shoulder high gauntlets with wool glove liners from military surplus, wicking socks and you are good for 40 Degree water.

Lets not forget a hood.

Windless, sun-shiney days will help with solar gain too.

I have 3 Mil waders and was sweating on my last water hunt!

I had to remove my wool knit cap.

5MM Kevlar Neoprene Gloves
Price:$45.00
With a 5 millimeter thickness, these gloves are ideal for extreme cold water conditions and long wear. Superior abrasion resistance is provided with Kevlar palms, fingers and back of fingertips making these gloves the perfrct choice for use while dredging

I use a Neproene Wader from Dicks with sock style feet. I wear a full wetsuit under it. I use 5mm Dive boots over the wader socks. I ordered them 1/2 size too large and that works out OK and leaves room for the neo wader sock sections inside the boots. Very snug. I might have gone a full size larger but I want the boots for Spring and summer too whne I do not use the waders. I wear 5mm dive gloves. All this works out fine. Been in water with air temps in 30s. If the water goes over the wader (and it will if you dig deep and need to reach down to grab your scoop grap handle or a wave crest catches over the top of the chest area), you are wearing a wetsuit, not clothes. Also, the arms are neoprene wetsuit arms so no problem getting wet. Normal clothes under waders work fine for walking the beach but if you are going into the bay or ocean, I'd do the wetsuit and not worry about a few washovers happening.
Oh, I wear my wetsuit backwards (zipper in front) so I can zip down when I have to "go". I am addicted to coffee!
